We are currently seeking a Full-Time HVAC Installation Professional - Level 1 to join our team. An HVAC Installation Professional - Level 1 will assist Installation Technicians as needed. Duties will include assisting Lead Service Install Technicians in the installation of HVAC/R equipment, duct systems, fittings, grilles, registers, diffusers, controls and related equipment.
Follow defined installation procedures for HVAC/R equipment according to company instructions/policy, manufacturer installation instructions, salesperson notes, and if applicable per instructions of Lead Service Install Technician.
Identify and solve problems that might prevent the completion of work within budgeted time.
Complete repairs, improvements, or installations within budgeted hours, in accordance with company standards, while maintaining quality workmanship.
Provide feedback and suggestions on ways to improve quality, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction.
Start up new equipment and verify correct operation.
Understand and follow proper safety procedures.
Collect for work performed if applicable.
Clean equipment and work area upon completion of work.
Maintain material stock levels in service vehicle as well as keeping vehicle clean and organized.
Complete paperwork as required by management on a timely basis, including hours worked and materials used.
Acquire sufficient knowledge, skills, training, and information to achieve peak performance, continuous improvement, potential advancement, and a positive, productive work environment consistent with company goals and objectives.
Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, co-workers, and others.
May be asked to work in other departments as needed.
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Completion of trade school plus 6 months to 1 year of field experience installing HVAC systems.
EPA Certification or ability to obtain upon employment.
Proficient Verbal and Written English Skills.
Moderate-High Energy Level.
Ability to follow and perform installation procedures for HVAC/R equipment and troubleshoot problems.
Ability to follow controls/wiring schematic.
Ability to braze/solder/weld and perform minor field fabrication.
Adaptability: Manage competing demands and frequent changes in a fast paced work environment.
Well groomed, neat appearance, no visible tattoos or piercings.
NATE certification a plus.
